BIO

What can you say about 'Cee Cee' Collins?    Well as some have reported . . .  . “Straight up! No Chaser!”      “...she gives a Two-Fisted Blues Assault and is known for saying, “This ain't no dressed rehearsal, and there is no curtain call . . . . there's only one shot at life, so do you . . . .  and do you well!”  "She has a solid blues voice and the stage presence to compliment it."

Detroit Blues Society

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Cheryl Collins (aka Cee Cee) has been pleasing crowds of numerous genres since age seven when she started singing in church, although her singing career started around age 15, when she joined her first band, Union Pacific. Even though she began singing Soul & R&B, Cee Cee realized early on that Blues & Jazz had a special place in her heart. Cee Cee graduated from Cass Technical High School and attended Wayne County Community College and Kaplan University. She served in the USMC (United States Marine Corp) and upon release began working in corporate America.

In her 30's, Cee Cee moved to Atlanta, Georgia which allowed her to expand her musical talents and also gave her the opportunity to live in Madrid, Spain, performing as one of The New Supremes

Upon returning to the United States, Cee Cee began singing with the Detroit Underground Blues Band, performing at various venues throughout Michigan.  In 2000, they recorded their first CD entitled "Colorblind" (which features two of Cee Cee's original songs) and their second, "'Live' at The Dally" was recorded one year later.

Cee Cee went on to perform and record with various local artists such as: Sir Mack Rice (Mustang Sally), Thornetta Davis, Alberta Adams, and many, many more.  She also had the pleasure of performing with the late Detroit Blues legends Willie D. Warren and Joe Weaver, and also Motown's Funk Brother, Joe Hunter. She recorded her third CD “Don't Mess Around” (No Cover Productions) with RJ Spangler and The Rhythm Rockers in 2008. Four of Cee Cee's originals are featured on this CD.

Cee Cee has been featured in various news and blues magazine articles across the U.S.  Her influences have been Tina Turner, Bette Midler, Stevie Wonder, and locally, Ursula Walker and Alberta Adams, (whom she toured with Nationally over a span of six years). She is an incredible Blues and Soul vocalist who sings with conviction and great emotion and is known for her ability to really connect with her audience.  She has countless fans in various cities across the United States and Canada, and I'm sure each one of them knows . . . “There ain't no party like a Cee Cee party, cause a Cee Cee party DON'T STOP!”.
